Before I start, only after i handed out the above printed invitation to the students, baru ku notice that I've typed the year wrongly. Its supposed to be 2008. Not 2007! hehehe opps!

As part of our assignment, myself and Wadin were asked to do a sort-of-event and then have report done on it. And so, the ideas came in all forms like doing a family day event where we could promote the part-time classes that KIGS holds with bouncers, food stalls and alll blaa blaaa blaa.. But then, we had only a month time to do the assignment, and to so something like that needed permission from the MOE. Kalau catu, satu bulan nada cukup..

Backing to the "Thinking board".

Ada tia c Azizul Budak Nakal (lets call him ABN for short..Ngalih ku kan tiap panjang2 hehehe) came up with the idea to have a sungkai gathering with all the part time students. Minggle together, get to know each other better and what not.. Actually got udang sebalik spendet behind the idea. I wont say what. Do not want to get him into trouble..hehehe (kaaaaaannnn zuuuuuullll? *blink2*).

And sooo... heck! That sounds like a splendid idea zul! Why not? Its a sort of an a event.. plus we're organizing it.

Organinizing Event + Minggle with the rest of the part-timers = Assignment done and anew addition of college mates! Whooaaaaa... brilliant!

And sooo... We had our sungkai gathering today at Le Taj. Food was banyak to choose from and there was an increase in the number of people attended. The more the merrier they say. Atu definitely! The crowd was buzzing with noise and laughther, lecturers hanging out with the students and a bonus point, we had the principal to join us as well. He was also nice enough to give a small prayer for the blessings and the good luck wishes for all the students in our upcoming exams in November. Amin3x. Mudah Mudahan kitani semua pass! With flying colours too! hehehe

I hadnt got a camera with me knowing Wadin ( our pro-photographer ) would take wicked pictures. I cant wait to see them! Jangan lupa share din! Will post them up as soon as i got them from Wadin!

Until then, we'll just have to wait. :o)

Here we go..

Another night at the studio again.. Its been quite a while since I've followed hubby to practise. Got mum to help out with the kids while I go and have a mini "me and hubby" time. I could use the free time do my assignment without having Aiman climbing all over me at the computer table!

Shame on You!

This is embarrasing.. Shame on you Izzah Batricia!

Just as I thought about "poor me" - I cant shop, I have no time for myself bla bla bla when in actual fact, there are other plp who goes through a much difficult life then I do. Why do I even complain when there is a roof over my head, a responsible husband, food on the table, education, 2 healthy children, a loving family, etc etc..?????

The reason for this shameful awakening is this. I had recently read a post on Iskandarworld. Blosgspot & Kb Happening .blogspot on how they came across 3 children in Seria who were abandoned by their parents a few amonths ago. The eldest of the 3 who is a 16 year old boy, had to miss school so that he could work and feed his younger siblings. They even had to use candles to read and study at night because their houses had no electricity. And get this, the only water they had to drink was rainwater.

Being a mama...

I was watching Jon & Kate + 8 on Discovery Family & Health channel just a few minutes ago and today’s episode was on how the couple went on a shopping date which was long overdue ever since the birth of their sextuplets. They had a nanny over to watch over the kids while the couple went out to shop for clothes.

Being interviewed Kate answered:

“ We could never find the time to be alone together at home, let alone shopping. And when I do go shopping, I had always swayed the money to buying things for the kids instead. I hadn’t the time to buy things for my self again. And so, it was high time so Jon took me out for a shopping spree which was an advanced Christmas present to each other. And boy, did we enjoyed it! The stress was gone and it was nice having time to yourself and not think about the kids.”

Imagine that, I have 2 kids and I feel its already impossible to go out shopping for myself when I’m constantly thinking about the kids. So I definitely feel what Kate is going through. Every time I go out and finally pick something that I would like to buy, this guilty conscience will pop in my head.

Like for example:

A pair of Charles & Keith shoes = A tin of Enfalac powder milk
Makeup = 2 sets Night & day diapers for both Aiman and Arman.
Guess Handbag = A month supply of both diapers and powder milk for the kids
Spa, Saloon, Facials = Mum’s allowance to help out with the kids.

See what I mean? This is not healthy.

I guess this constantly reminds me to get my HND (hopefully a degree in the future) and hopefully have a future where I can provide my family and MYSELF the best things of life. If not the best, then a secure future.

Having to watch that programme, I missed the times where I wouldn’t feel so guilty spending and buying things for myself. I missed the times where I could go out with hubby to the movies, travel to Singapore for our shopping spree etc etc.

Do I regret?
Are you kidding? Children are god’s gift. Each time I got pregnant, there was always something good that came along. And as noisy, chaotic, tiring they may be but they do light up the house.

So is there going to be another one?
Don’t even go there. If I can control it, two is enough for me. The 2nd labor experience was traumatic. Am not going there for a long time. But should I was given another child, I’d accept it with open arms. Provided I finish my studies, travel to the U.S, Europe, shopping sprees..bla bla bla.. By the way, prices are sky rocketing and they haven’t even started school. I am a firm believer that quality is better then quantity.

How about your hubby? He still wants more.
Don’t worry about that. I’d keep him “busy” away from that thought! It’s in our contract! Oh, me and the Itchy-Puhcey girls are planning to go on a holiday next year. Informed hubby about it so there should not be any last minute nasty surprises that will cost me my trip. Its decided that it will be a "Beach-Bum" holiday so no shopping. Maximum of 3 days (more then that, both me and shikin will be missing our kids like crazy) We're starting to look at Phuket, Bali, Langkawi, Kota kinabalu and oh... effy also suggested this as well... Island of Sodor. (hmmp! P***ma!) hahaha..

Getting there

It’s the 6th day of puasa and may I ask how is everyone doing?

As for myself, I’m getting there. So far so good. (it helps with me being on leave).

Now, latest updates?

Well, I have found that my passion for dancing has drizzled away. Not because I cant catch up the steps (puh-lease..Patricia kali nie ah), Well, lets just say the dancing instructors has not made their classes interesting anymore and plus, the location sucks. Its smaller. I wish them all the luck in getting a new place soon. Then I’ll see about returning back..

So what’s the next alternative?

It was last night when my mum complained to me this:

“Yen, look at mummy. Mummy fat right?"

“Mum, your not fat.. It comes with age..”

“So, I am fat!. That’s it, I’m going to the gym!”

"aaaahhhh... i didnt say that... "

Then, off she goes. Walking to the gym ( our house is about 10minutes walk from the gym and I salute my mum who insisted on walking rather then driving all the way ke sana! And she’s 50++++ of age kali ah. I should be ashamed of myself).. After an hour later, mum came back, sweating brabis and then said to me..

“Yen, you should go to the gym. See, mummy sweating so much!”

As I looked at mum enviously, i thought to myself - heck why not? she can do it so can i! I mean, its even better to work out after eating right? Remember the diet chart I made for myself?.. you can say there have a decrease in the cm’s..Not as fast as I have hope for but at least ada changes..

thats me (side view..) thats how big im currently am... *sigh*

After 1 hour, for a distance of 500metres, i only lost 316 calories! 1 Pulut panggang is already about 1200 calories!! Think on how many hours i have to go on the treadmill to lose all that!

Oh diet..diet...diet... we have until the end of the month to see the progress again. Hopefully with me fasting should also help in losing weight. We'll see how lah.. *double sigh*
