New year' eve..

At the beginning of this year, i had made plans to parteh till i drop with a bunch of girlfriends but with all those scary shit thats been happening around the world, i think it shall be safer to just parteh here in Brunei.

Anyways, our plans so far:-

1. On the 31st, we'll be sending hubby to work wee in the morning for his Singapore flight. And then when he comes back from work, he's off straight away to Empire hotel to get ready for the New Year's Bash. Note - He's playing in a band and they're playing for the countdown. Im ready to parteeeh!

2. Then come wife, son, mum in law, sis in law & maid who joins in for the fun & food. ( i hope that Aiman will stay sane throughout the whole night of filled fun. Get this. he's only a year and a month old and his dada has already gotten him a ticket to play at the kids corner. A package the hotel provides for todds when their parents want to get busy to jiggy.

3. Therefore we'll be staying at Traders Inn for 2 nights. Its cheap plus they having a amazing 24 hours internet access. So i will be busying downloading stuff throughout the whole stay!

4. 1st Jan - One of our friends is getting married so it off to a malay wedding in the morning and it doesnt finish here, at 2pm, we're off to a birthday party. Our friend's daughther is a year old and guess what the theme is.. Costume Party! Oh, and after that we'll be staying in bandar for another nite and flying off to Spore again for a final trip of shopping before getting back to work.

Hectic isnt it? And im only half way packing.

Oh, btw I have always wanted to make those DIY cards. I've totally forgotten to take the pictures of the whole card-making process but i did take a picture of the final product.

tadaaaaaaaa... *control hidung*

I have always enjoyed making stuff myself. This one i did on behalf of aiman.. I hope the bday chick digs her pressie. :o)

ok.. next blog shall be covering the new years eve party, the bday costume party ( definitely getting shots of aiman in his bumble bee costume) and whatever exciting events lah.

So have a very happy New Year all. Lets PArrrrrrTyyyyyyyyy!!!!

The office awaits me...

hahahaha...

Something to share with you lot. I came across this stall only when Ham said " look sayang! this stall swears!". As i turned to see to what he was pointing out, i knew instantly i had to blog this out.
Lets start with the first picture.

ahhhh... so refreshing this stall..

Eh.. what do we have here?

no.. it's not just some bread that has just got a huge hole buldging in the middle. Ani namanya Butterfly bun.. Well, at least it looks like a butterfly. Tapi this one cannot kalahkan the one me and my girls used to have at kianggeh tamu. Sedaaaaaaaaap in the world. The taukeh is not even malay tapi kuat membari extra. no wonder his business blooms. Hmmm.. i wonder if he has retired or still selling.. Yumm..yum...

oh, they also have "cah kueh"... Whatever the spelling is..

Oh gosh, this makes me miss the good old hostel times.. Miss you gals...

Bee-Outch..

Long long holiday.....

Hello all! Sorry for the long absence ( like anyone of you would give a shit )...hehehe Joking saja everyone.. Jangan mare yer..

Finally, i have managed to get my one month holiday after a year long of hard work and tormenting meetings. Up till this day, i feel im in heaven.. Sleeping late, wake up late, makan pun late, berak pun late..semualah late.. vey nice.. Plus, to top it all, its my semester break as well so there are no classes. Lucky me... hehehehe

So what have i've done during this long lazy month? Asides from being very lazy ( as i have been told by my family members which they reckon with this 2nd prgnancy, its a girl ) i have been travelling and shopping and also burn a hole in all my credit cards. Note - Credit card were fully paid up with my bonus until my trip. Looks like 2008's bonus is going be used to pay up on those bloody credit cards again.
Pukima...
But no regrets! I managed to get me some more cool maternity clothes (way better then what i was wearing with the 1st pregnancy!) bags, makeup, bags, books, bags and more bags. I would be also spending on shoes as well but somehow i tot it was best bought after the baby is born.. Baru shopping brabis lagi.. You may think i shop like there is no tomorrow ( which i do) but i plan my shopping budget very seriously and when it was time to spend, i spend it like yes..... like there is no tomorrow!
Reminder to my girlfriends - Start saving for that Bangkok trip, As soon as i start my maternity leave, we're off!!!

Oh, and one of my trips include me hoping on the plane with my hubby in his uniform which is a first and i kind of sickly enjoyed that. And hei, I should take pride in what he does so no harm for me to be proud . We did however, had a really tough time NOT TO KISS in the plane due to his attire. hehehehehe Jangan heran. Im totally into P.A. Inda pandai malu ku nie sikit... Sikitlah.. hahahahha

So enjoy the pictures below of which i took during the trip..

Note - The food still sucks..See the pic and you'll know what i mean. Just look at those sausages man.. eiuuuu...

Remember..remember.. 11th of November

Tadaaaaa... SOME of the few pics that was taken before, during and after aimans bday
For starters, it was raining the whole day hence the house was cold. I was taking pictures to share in the blog but little did i realise, i was taking pics with the dew on the lens. HEI, how am i supposed to know?. I thought the $600++ worth of camera had like a anti-dew mechanism that would affect with picture taking. Well, at leasts thats what the salesman said to us when he sold us this. *sigh* but ME on the other hand, i could have just wipe the lens off.. I hate my self for being forgetful.

Here, we have all the deco's and balloons and mum actually went all round kb to get air pumps for the balloons. Biasalah, kan merasa celebrate her cucu 1st bday.. Chinese people are very particular in celebrating birthdays. I have also learned that in islam, no matter how big or small the party is, it is always GOOD to celebrate their bdays, annivesaries, speacial occassions with your loved ones. Untuk mengeratkan talian kelaurga.. I love that :o)

see how blur this pic is. This is what i meant by dew lah. If you see properly, this the chicken (10kg) which was clean and stuffed with satay sticks. The rest of the menu inlcuded 10kg of oyster matinated sauce grilled big prawns, grilled rosemary lambshop, grilled fish, grilled Chocolate banana(this was soooo good, everyone ate so much that they couldnt burp..) and oh! we even had a soup corner where we served Sweet Corn Crab Meat Soup. That was gone after 2 big pot of refills! original recipes by my one and truly, my hubby! ( I'm so proud my man can COOK!)

The bday cake was of a SpongeBob SquarePants design. We search for the right image in internet and come up with this one and had it made into a cake. Aiman loves spongebob. The kid basicallys sits down properly for a good 30 mins watching every spongebob shows.

For a party which was of a bbq theme, us as parents shouting around busying cooking and entertaining the guest as well i had to say, it was a good one. There were bad moments. But what matters most was our AIMAN :o)
Next post covers his bday pressies. Stay tune kids..
